This fall marks a new beginning for our riding director and long-time Illahee friend, Bianca who got married this past Friday to her long-time beau Brad! Dave, Caroline, Kris and Soup were all able to make it to the wedding at the Sleepy Hollow Inn near Black Mountain on a blustery, wet, fall evening. (Laurie and Gordon were sad to miss the hoopla, but were with son Turner for his birthday.) The rain stopped just in time for festivities to begin. What started out as a wedding turned in to a mini-Illahee reunion. Illahee riding staffers Jean , Meredith , Kim , Leah and Kate were there in addition to Illahee’s past riding director, Harriet !
Bianca has spent 11 summers in the Heavenly World from camper to riding staff, to riding director. In the off-season, she guides trial rides and takes care of the horses boarded at the Biltmore Estate stables. She looked gorgeous and even though she had her hair down, she still had her cowboy boots on under her dress! I guess you can take the bride out of the barn, but you can’t take the boots off the bride. A huge congrats to Bianca and Brad!!!
