Snow!

I bet you all thought we had dropped off the face of the earth! To the contrary! We are actually working hard on our website to transfer it over to a new server and to make it easier to add some features and redesign. Keep an eye out for that in the next few weeks, but in the meantime, I was so "webbed out," I almost forgot to check in with all our Illahee friends! We have been busy in the office. We have almost 850 campers coming to camp in 2005 to celebrate Illahee's 85th birthday and we are busy getting all of the forms and information together to mail to all of our great campers this week. Keep an eye out for lots of forms, including a list of activities and a handbook for parents. I promise it's going to get you excited for camp! Gretchen, Laurie and Kim have been super-busy talking to lots of terrific Illahee staff prospects in the past couple of weeks, and we have some great folks returning in 2005, some even from 2003 and before! I'm getting excited just thinking about it!
We woke up this morning to a beautiful morning, but we knew from our local weather forcasters that it was going to be short-lived. I took a look over toward Pineview and saw daffodils in full bloom! That's a sure sign that spring is on the way, and you know what that means...camp is not far behind! It's starting to drizzle now, and the woods are beautifulas the droplets start to form on the hemlocks and pines. We are lucky to live in this heavenly world, and lucky that we can share it with so many great girls each summer.
The guys (Gordon, Soup, and James) have been busy putting a new deck on Pinecrest over on Pineview, and will soon move to build the new ceramics deck under the Busy Bee. We'll spend some time building the new elements ont he high ropes course, and then it will be time to get everything ship shape to open camp! Yippee!
