A highlight of every camper's day is before lunch, when they check the mailboxes for mail. Letters and postcards are welcomed by everyone at camp.

Using our zip plus four 28712 - 0272 facilitates mail processing. Please use it when sending mail to camp. If you know your zip plus four, we would like to add it to your address.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY CARE PACKAGES TO YOUR CAMPER! The extraordinary amount of packages, which some campers received in past years, promoted an unhealthy atmosphere of competition at camp. In the interest of fairness to all campers and in hopes of rekindling a passion for letter writing, we have a NO PACKAGE POLICY. Please inform family and friends of our no package policy and remind them not to send food, candy, or gum in letters. IF WE RECEIVE A CARE PACKAGE, WE WILL RETURN IT TO THE SENDER.
Telephone
Illahee campers are not allowed to use the telephone except in case of emergency. We strongly encourage written communication as a way for campers and their families to keep in touch. Providing your child with stationery, stamps, and (pre-addressed) envelopes can facilitate her letter-writing. Make sure stamps and envelopes are contained in a sealable plastic bag to prevent sticking due to humidity. Illahee's fax number is (828) 883-8738. Please limit the use of this fax number to business purposes.
