We love this time of year. The leaves are turning at camp and the fall colors are beautiful! We’ve been watching Mary Lou’s transformation of the 2015 camp highlights video and are excited to take it on the road. Gretchen is heading to Nashville and Birmingham for our first camp shows of the season. Over the next month we’ll be travelling to visit camp families near and far- from Greenville, Charleston, Columbia, Athens, Savannah, to Jacksonville, Tampa, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Richmond and Alexandria. We’ll kick off the New Year with our Charlotte and Atlanta reunions.
Camp enrollment is as strong as ever with waiting lists in all two, three and four week sessions! We are starting to interview counselors and JC’s for next summer and are committed to finding the best counselors to love and encourage our campers. This year’s girls hail from 28 states and several foreign countries – Guatemala, England, Germany, and Thailand. Many campers come to Illahee without a friend from home finding that camp is a great place to make new friends and try new activities. This ability to branch out builds confidence and resilience. We hope to catch up with many of our campers and counselors this month as we travel and make our way toward the best summer every!
