Camp Illahee is a very special place that inspires love and loyalty in almost everyone who has spent a summer in our "heavenly world." But don't take our word for it!
If you would like to speak personally with parents of past and present Illahee campers, we will be happy to provide you with a contact list. Email Laurie or contact our office at (828) 883-2181.
Just a quick note from a very happy 'first time' Illahee mom to let you know how much my husband and I appreciate the beautiful experience you are giving our daughter. We received a letter yesterday saying Illahee is 'simply amazing' and she knows there is no way she will be ready to come home when the month is up. And we were worried that a month was too long!
Many, many thanks and may God bless you and keep you.![]()

We would like to say thank you for a fantastic first week of camp. You do such a wonderful job communicating through the nightly newsletter and photos that my husband and I feel like we are at camp as well. It is such a great feeling to see our daughter’s smiling face and hear the excitement in her letters. We also received a lovely letter from her counselor Megan and can tell that she has gotten to know Carly well. Thank you for making camp such a positive experience for our daughter.![]()

I cannot tell you how much the nightly post and pictures mean to me. Whether Katie is in the pictures or not, the smiling faces of pure JOY make me sleep well. I got two postcards today ---both saying that she wants to stay all summer. This was the child who cried every day at pre-school drop off. But the point of my note is to thank you for the Christian environment that Illahee provides... Illahee is an answer to my prayers. It is such a wonderful place and I feel so blessed to have my sweet girl there.![]()

Y'all obviously are as wonderful as everyone says! I've always said Schuyler was a 'happy camper' in life, but boy I have never seen such smiles - deep down, belly-achin', jaw-breakin'
smiles. She has two older brothers and so our house tends towards being more of a boy-energy house. I think she is in hog heaven with all that positive, good girl energy. I love the whole feel, the traditions, the scenery, the smiling faces - so thanks for sharing your news and the photos with us.![]()

This message is both to thank you and to compliment you on the daily newsletter and joyous pictures of the daily happenings at Illahee. As a grandmother of a now, three time camper, Mulloy Manning, it is a delightful and happy time of day for me to log on to the Illahee website and view all these happy girls enjoying their camping experience...and so I just want to say 'thank you'----Mulloy is on her way home now and I can't wait to hug her!!!![]()
